1940s American Purple And Black Soutache Dress
A fabulous American Dress dating from the 1940s.
Made from a medium weight crepe backed satin fabric in a colourblock design in purple and black.
Labels - looks to of been removed.
Features soutache detail on the bodice with collar in a v neck.
Buttons down the front one has been replaced.
Short sleeves.
Drop waist with wide waist band.
Aline flared skirt.
In good wearable condition but does have some flaws and is far from perfect. There has been quite a few patch repairs mainly to the skirt. Small scattered holes mainly near the bottom of the skirt. Patch repairs just bellow the waist seam. Small amount of purpling to the black waist band at the back.
