1930s Dark Burgundy Silk Velvet Dress Size 8/10 UK
Gorgeous evening dress dating from the 1930s.
Made from a dark burgundy silk velvet.
I think was originally a full length gown but has been shortened at some point.
Features strong padded shoulders and high rounded neck.
Gathers across the bust into the waist seam.
long sleeved with dropped waist and loose pleating at the front.
Buttons down the back and a very unusual celluloid side zip.
In good condition but has a small repair on the front toward the hem.
Would suit an 8/10 UK

length 39” with just over 1” hem.
