1940s American Cream Silky satin embossed Lounge Robe Size S
Super glamourous lounge robe dating from the 1940s.
No label and appears handmade.
Made from either silk or a silk rayon blend i’m not sure? Medium weight and drapes nicely.
Wrap style with an inner tie and fastens with a hook and eye on the front.
Features a large collar and padded shoulders.
Bellow the elbow length sleeves.
Gathers at the front and flares at the hem.
Missing belt.
In good wearable condition. There are however lots of light rust coloured marks scattered all over in lots of places. They are fairly well hidden in the pattern and the larger ones are very light but the small marks are darker. I haven’t tried to remove.
MEASUREMENTS
Across the top of the shoulders 15”
Bust up to 36”
Waist 26/27” but you could move the hook and make it a bit bigger or a lot smaller.
Hips 36” but could go bigger.
Length 56” nape to hem.
